Fedoroff
Associates, founded two
weeks before 9/11, specializes in information technology architecture.
Architecture products are the same kinds of things as systems
engineering products. In Fedoroff Associates' approach, these products,
diagrams and summary charts, tend to be considerably less verbose than
the products specified in international standards. This
approach is the product of decades of experience in seeing shelfware
produced, and never read, much less abided by.
A picture is worth a
thousand words.
Even bullet lists and
tables
convey better, if well organized, than monolithic text, in this day of
almost universally short attention spans and dependence on right- and
whole-brain impressions.
The Chinese pictograph is
pronounced "fa" (with a decreasing then increasing intonation) and has
the meaning "laws" or "principles."
